Counter-Strike 2: Max FPS Launch Options & Shadow Tweaks
Updated for current CS2 Source 2 engine patches.

1. Recommended Launch Options
Open Steam, right-click CS2 > Properties > Launch Options, and paste the following parameters:
-novid -tickrate 128 +fps_max 0 -high -nojoy
2. In-Game Video Settings
- Global Shadow Quality: Low (Shadows tax the CPU severely in Source 2).
- Model / Texture Detail: Medium or Low.
- Particle Detail: Low (Reduces frame drops during heavy smoke & molotov pushes).
- NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency: Enabled + Boost.
- Boost Player Contrast: Enabled (Crucial for spotting heads in dark corners).
3. Shader Cache Maintenance
If you experience micro-stutters when entering sites, navigate to your GPU Control Panel (NVIDIA/AMD) and set 'Shader Cache Size' to 10GB or Unlimited. This prevents the game from recompiling shaders mid-gunfight.
